NEW Dial Sugar Cane Husk Scrub Hand Soap

(The Dial brand provided me with a sample of Dial Sugar Cane Husk Scrub Hand Soap in exchange for a product review… but they didn't put any words in my mouth.)

The fine folks at Purex and Dial sent me the following info:

"NEW Dial Sugar Cane Husk Scrub Hand Soap is the newest member of the Dial® Boutique Collection Hand Soap line, bringing luxury to your hand washing experience. With an indulgent scent inspired by freshly cut Sugar Cane, this premium formula with gentle micro scrubbers cleanses deeply while moisturizing and smoothing skin."

They also sent me a bottle of the soap to try. You can see it on their website here:

http://www.dialsoap.com/products/deep-cleansing-sugar-cane-husk-scrub-liquid-hand-soap

And here's a photo I took:

As you can see, it has a cool, modern bottle shape that will look nice next to your sink. It has a sweet, slightly tangy fragrance that is appealing without being too perfumey for a man or child to use. More importantly, it does a great job of cleaning my hands, even if they've gotten pretty yucky. It has enough abrasive to clean without irritating my skin, and moisturized as well. It was also good to use to help clean and smooth rough elbows, which is a plus.

If you have people in your house with dirty hands, and you probably do, you'll want to give this soap a try. One of you can try it for FREE; send me an email telling me the yuckiest thing you had to wash off your hands recently, and I'll pick someone to win coupons for FREE soap!! :-)

New Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash

The fine folks at Purex and Dial sent me a free bottle of this product to try out in exchange for a product review (as always, them giving me a free product doesn't mean they put any words in my mouth; my opinions are my own):

This image came from their Facebook page, where they said:

"Restore your skin and get a soft and smooth clean with new Miracle Oil Body Wash infused with Marula Oil."

https://www.facebook.com/Dial/photos/a.153151581365615.29984.110666905614083/1038664066147691/?type=1&theater

I had to go to their Facebook page, because this product is so new that it is not yet on their website. When it DOES show up there, I assume it will be on this page with the rest of the body washes:

http://www.dialsoap.com/category/body-wash

(Lots of goodies on that page-I've used most of 'em!!)

They also sent me the following info:

"N ew Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash is infused with caring Marula oil for beautifully, soft skin. This new body wash is formulated with Micro Oil Technology for luxurious, clean-rinsing lather that leaves skin feeling clean, soft and smooth."

As you can see, this body wash comes in a cool bottle that is very easy to hold onto in the shower; if you have ever dropped a full bottle of body wash on your toe, you will appreciate the design of the bottle as much as I do.

Here's something interesting about Marula Oil:

"The Tsonga people of South Africa and Mozambique have used the oil as a moisturising body lotion for women and also as a massage oil for babies. In the past, women used Marula oil rather than water to clean themselves."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marula_oil#Traditional_uses

There's a long and pretty awesome article about it here:

http://www.africanbotanics.com/the-beauty-and-skin-care-benefits-of-marula-oil/

So, this is a nice addition to a body wash, and I haven't seen it in any other products… I like to be the first one to use something.

I found that this body wash lathered nicely, and left me feeling clean and with softer skin. As a bonus, it smells really fab, sort of sweet and nutty; because it's not floral, men and kids will use it without complaint. I also kind of get a kick out of the old school Dial color of it; it makes me think of the bottle of Dial liquid hand soap that my mother always had by the kitchen sink.

Are you ready to give it a try? Email me your favorite soap-related childhood memory, and I'll pick someone to receive coupons for FREE body wash!! :-)
